Overview:

Prysmian Group, a manufacturer of Specialty Cable for various industries, we will be interviewing for Production Associates. These are 8 & 12 hour, 2nd & 3rd shift crew positions. Successful candidates must be flexible to run any machine and/or forklift once trained.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Production Associates are responsible for completing their job duties in a safe and timely manner both for themselves and their co-workers by doing daily safety start-up checks as well as safety checks throughout the shifts (i.e. lockout/tag out while using proper PPE). Incumbent is responsible for producing a quality product, meeting all specifications of the Work Order, ensuring customer satisfaction. Associate is required to input information into the machine center computer and verify for accuracy. Production Associate will be expected to complete job tasks within specified time period. This would include setups, changeovers, reel changes and material relocation.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Solid, stable work history with previous industrial experience preferred

Proficient in basic math, reading and comprehension of work instructions and use of computer

Willingness to work in a team environment and participate in safety/quality/production improvement activities

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand for prolonged periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to Push/pull heavy objects and differentiate between colors. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employee must be able to adapt to both hot and cold temperatures within the plant.
