Onsite in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Summary:
The Medical Photographer provides high-quality medical photography for delivering the best care to the patients of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department. The photographer/graphic designer provides the primary photographic functions; as well as computer graphic support for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department.
Responsibilities:
1. Provider primary photographic functions using proper equipment and techniques.
2. Provider High-quality professional photographs of children to young adults. Take intraoral photos.
3. Proficient in Photoshop.
4. Upload images to Microsoft and Epic to be used by multidisciplinary teams. Consistent high-quality photographs will be used to determine the best plan of care for patients. These images are also necessary for certifying surgeries and obtaining prior authorizations for treatments.
5. Support research administrative duties, and research projects. Composes graphics for research papers.
6. Maintain photography equipment, light equipment and accessories.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Technical Expertise
1. Exceptional technical Photography skills
2. Proficiency in Photoshop is required
3. Experience in dental/medical terminology preferred.
4. Experience working in healthcare/dental environment preferred.
5. Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is preferred.
6. Experience working in electronic medical record (i.e. EPIC) or similar software is preferred.
Education and Experience
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors in photography preferred.
2. 2 years of related Photography experience required.
