hiring for a Dental Hygienist in Milwaukee, WI. Part-time / Full Time
Who are we? Founded in 1999, Progressive Community Health Centers is an
independent non-profit organization that operates four clinic locations

providing culturally competent services that address identified needs.
We provide high quality, comprehensive care to roughly 16,000 patients
annually, a majority of who are low-income. No one is ever turned away
from our clinics based on insurance status or ability to pay. We value a
patient-centered philosophy and provide range of services that include
family medicine, internal medicine, womens health, urgent care,
dental, radiology and integrated behavioral health. We also offer
supportive services such as case management, health education and

Sites | How to Apply What will you do? Participate in the dental
treatment of patients by performing all aspects of hygiene including
examining teeth and educating patients about proper oral hygiene. Takes
and develops radiographs and assists Dentist with patient care in
accordance with and as prescribed by the State of Wisconsin. ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS Works closely with dentists to carry out recommended clinical
treatments, such as scaling and polishing to prevent and control
periodontal (gum) disease. Participates in the dental treatment of
patients by performing dental prophylaxis, applying topical fluorides,
examining teeth, and assisting dentist with procedures, as required.
Makes radiographs and processes, as well as evaluates developed
radiographs. Administers some minor treatments under the supervision of
the dentist. Performs charting of patients needs, presenting
problem(s), medical and dental health history, tooth charting, and
review social history. Review treatment recommendations with patients
and manages patient hygiene regimen. Takes and records vital signs,
prior to rendering dental care. Assist in the development of prevention
programs for patients. Shares with maintenance and sterilization duties.
Attends office training and meetings along with continuing education
