JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Position Summary A Postdoctoral
Research Scholar Position is available to support an ongoing
translational project in the Myeloma Research Laboratory of the Division
of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Medicine, Medical College of
Wisconsin. The position is being funded by generous grants from the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Paula and Rodger Riney Foundation.
The long-term goal of the project is to improve the outcome for patients
with multiple myeloma (MM), the second most common blood cancer in the
United States. The research project includes tumor biology, immunology
and immunotherapy studies on MM, using patient-derived myeloma samples,
continuous myeloma cell lines, and genetically engineered mouse models
of human myeloma as principal experimental model system. Additional

The position is NOT RESTRICTED to US citizens or permanent US residents.

appointment but can be renewed depending on progress and available
funding. The start date is flexible. Applicants should have experience
with cancer biology / immunology methods and possess good oral and
written communication skills. A track record of peer-reviewed
publications with at least one first authorship in a reputable journal
is highly desirable. The candidate must be able to develop hypotheses
independently, design experiments to test them, and present the results
in form of presentations, abstracts, and draft manuscripts. The ideal
applicants should have recently received a PhD or MD/PhD degree.
