The Human Resources coordinator is a hands-on representative of the Human Resources department whose job is to help facilitate all basic Human Resources functions. The coordinator reports to the Human Resources manager or Sr. HR Business Partner or director. The Human Resources coordinator multitasks through actively participating in the recruiting/staffing process, employment reporting such as employee turnover and retention, record management for employment files and organizing work and event activities for a company. This position may perform research, analytics, and lead smaller projects in HR focusing on process improvement. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 1-3 years experience in progressive HR/business related support role. Duties & Responsibilities This position is responsible for preparing and coordinating any functions pertaining to employment, compensation, labor negotiations and employee relations. The Human Resources coordinator plays an active role in formulating methods to improve employment policies, processes and practices as well as recommending changes to management. This position will conduct research, analysis and reporting in addition to daily tasks and lead small continuous improvement projects. HRIS/Record Retention: Enters new employees into system. Runs queries for information as needed to support delivery partners. Maintains personnel files in compliance with records retention policy and applicable legal requirements. Acts as site liaison in troubleshooting associate issues relating HR processes, systems, and programs. Coordinates and monitors production associate merit increases and performance reviews Maintains calendar of office associate schedules. Provides training and direction for other system users. Staffing Processes: Assists with recruiting efforts Assists with screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates for temporary/regular positions Coordinates necessary pre-employment testing Acts as liaison between Company and staffing service partners Participates in and coordinates the new hire orientation process and ensures all required paperwork and benefits forms are filled out correctly and processed through an employee service center. Coordinates voluntary/involuntary layoff and return processes. Employee Relations Facilitation: Visible and accessible to all associates, providing policy clarification, answering routine HR-related inquiries and referring complex matters to management and/or HR Business Partners. Coordinate various associate meetings, including scheduling, invitations, room arrang ments, lunches, maintaining attendance records. Oversees special events for staff by coordinating committees and schedules and staying within budget. Maintains facility bulletin boards. Participates in community partnership events and activities. Administrative duties may include: Provide backup receptionist coverage for the Plant or department Run reports, update KPI files, and input data.
