Responsibilities
The HIMS Regulatory Specialist role will work with a large, diverse, and geographically dispersed team, including Mayo Clinic leaders, medical staff and allied health staff. This role will serve as a liaison and resource with HIMS Leadership, a team resource, and helps facilitate regulatory readiness strategies. This role will participate in projects, workgroups, committees as requested.
Works in conjunction with Mayo Clinic leaders, medical staff and allied health staff to facilitate understanding of regulatory standards related to protected health information regarding emerging and market driven trends in healthcare and technologies. Assists in facilitating an integrated organizational approach to assessing and meeting regulatory requirements and process improvements. Assists Release of Information Operations Manager with analyzing, supporting and/or optimizing processes in Release of Information related to regulatory requirements, policies and procedures, Office of Civil Rights (OCR) complaints, Cure’s Act Information Blocking, and compliance and privacy complaints.
This Position is 100% Remote can work from anywhere within the United States

Qualifications
Required: Bachelors degree in health information, organizational leadership, business or related field with three years of related healthcare leadership experience. Masters Degree (MBA, MA, MS, MPH) preferred; ability to communicate and work successfully with other leaders, medical staff, and allied health staff; expertise in evaluation techniques, and ability to organize information from a variety of sources and communicate it in a meaningful way. Strongly preferred: Good understanding of data management and statistics, experience in regulatory standards, quality improvement methodology, and facilitation skills. Accrediting and regulatory bodies: Center for Medicaid & Medicare Services, The Joint Commission, and others as identified. Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator required (RHIA).

Compensation Detail
$77,001.60 – $115,564.80/ year; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
