The work:
The Song Account Lead (SAL) operates at priority designated accounts responsible for the Song growth agenda and delivery of the Song book of business. Partners with the Accenture Client Account Lead (CAL) to develop and lead the end-to-end Customer-related agenda that will drive sustained growth through greater customer relevance and competitiveness. The SAL will be responsible for managing a team of Sales and Delivery team members and will support the on-the-job career development of their people as well as leading cross-functional teams on specific projects.
Your role will require you to directly collaborate with the client to bring ideas and innovation for customer relationships, digital marketing, ecommerce, and omni-channel solutions. You will also be accountable for helping to drive innovative ideas with the client and working with the practice-specific teams to ensure client value and ability to execute are front and center. The SAL will sell, and close extension deals that are focused on emerging or niche capabilities in Accenture Song.
Here’s a snapshot of your responsibilities as a Song Account Leader:
Expands existing programs and/or generates innovative programs by leveraging client relationships, client feedback, program measurement, new products/services, or unmet needs
Leads the development of new or renewal contracts through collaboration with subject matter advisors, solution architects and pricing team members
Strategically align with client on program objectives
Manages internal and external processes, assesses resources, and ensures strategic, creative, and program delivery output is to the highest quality
Interfaces with clients, senior Accenture management, cross functional internal teams to ensure projects are on target with objectives, budget, and schedule. Intercedes between client and team for issues related to changes in project scope, budget, or strategic creative direction
Works with Client Account Leads where appropriate to ensure project aligns to greater account objectives and supports targets set for the year
Collaborates across Accenture Song and Accenture to generate value creation opportunities for our clients which utilize Accenture’s unique set of integrated capabilities
Able to lead key business development initiatives for the account, but also across the broader account portfolio for Accenture Song
Consistent student of the industry, the marketplace, culture, and consumer trends to identify opportunities and help keep clients and colleagues at the forefront of industry developments
Travel: As required for client support.
Location: Primary residency within 90 minutes of an approved Accenture office
Here’s what you’ll need:
Minimum 10 years of experience in account management or account planning
Minimum 8 years working in a matrix team environment
Bonus points if:
Minimum 7 years of Experience in Resources
Solid understanding of significant process change, technology implementations, process outsourcing, and technology outsourcing in creative, marketing, production processes, or customer success, across channels
Experience building client relationships and originating new opportunities
Strong ability to understand insights and turn them into strategic plans
Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to inspire and lead teams by setting forth a vision for the account
Ability to mentor and development talent
Ability to negotiate SOWs on behalf of Accenture Song and manage scope with Client
Core sales consulting skills including:
Executive & Digital Leadership Workshop facilitation
Client interviews/focus groups
Run end-to-end sales cycles (origination -> solution -> close)
Have a detailed understanding of the MarTech stack and how to use it
Experience working with & jointly going to market with strategic vendors (software/channel/technology)
Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level
of experience.
