Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Senior Proposal Manager within our team. This is a remote opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple proposal development projects across varying response timelines while maintaining a degree of flexibility to adapt to team, scheduling and other requirements.
  • Interpret technical and management requirements of RFx solicitations.
  • Develop and oversee proposal schedules, populate proposal outlines, develop and manage the compliance matrix, conduct proposal kickoffs, and raise risks to leadership throughout the proposal process.
  • Facilitate proposal reviews and make ongoing recommendations to ensure compliance and increase evaluation scores.
  • Oversee the development and timelines of high quality, high impact graphics for proposals.
  • Collaborate across a broad spectrum of leaders and stakeholders to guide, develop and submit proposals on time and compliant with customer requirements.
  • Initiate, develop and/or support Proposal Operations activities (e.g., content databases, SharePoint library management) as needed/requested.
  • Coordinate and prepare for down selection calls and proof of concept (POC) efforts as part of response evaluation.
  • Author content for business and technical sections of response based on previous proposal and IT delivery experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (information technology and/or communication focus a plus).
  • Twelve plus years of proposal management experience.
  • Twelve plus years of demonstrated experience in proposal writing covering all typical solicitation sections (e.g., Management, Technical, Staffing).
  • Five plus years of experience providing project delivery on IT projects (e.g., project management, business analysis, solution architecture, system architect, development, QA/QC).
  • Experience working on Agile or Hybrid-Agile delivery projects.
  • Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP, or higher).
  • Experience with public sector, SLED proposal development.
  • Excellent writing, organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work to meet deadlines (nights, weekends, and holidays at times) yet remain flexible to the needs of the team and/or requirements of the RFx.
  • Ability to assist in developing compelling themes, discriminators, and messaging.
  • Ability to work well both in a team and independently.
  • Ability to both delegate and roll-up sleeves to meet deadlines.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of marketing, editing, graphic design, and other relevant proposal best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to coordinate geographically disparate teams.
  • Ability to create original content using interview and research techniques.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.
  • Commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile project management, specifically Scrum framework.
  • Experience with Proposal Management Tools (e.g., Responsive, RFPIO, Qvidian).
  • Formal proposal training, affiliations, and/or relevant proposal management certifications (e.g., Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP))
  • Formal project management training, affiliations, and/or relevant project management certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP)).
  • Familiarity with project planning and scheduling toolsets to plan, monitor, control, and provide status on proposal projects.
  • Familiarity with work breakdown, level of effort, and cost estimation techniques.
  • Ability to remain upbeat, positive, and constructive within a dynamic environment operating under high-pressure deadlines.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $95,000 to $158,000.
