Job Summary

Altice USA is seeking an Senior Engineer of IT Telecom to join a team of high-performing telecom engineers and operators to maintain and improve our IT Telephony/Collaboration infrastructure and services. The candidate will play a key role in completing projects related to design, integration, standardization, and hardware refresh and is responsible for the technical success of these projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in telecommunications, possessing the technical prowess to manage and optimize our communication infrastructure effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Manage, configure, and maintain Avaya and Cisco telecommunications systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of telecom systems with existing infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding telecom-related inquiries and issues.
  • Conduct regular system audits and updates to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
  • Analyze telecom data and usage patterns to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to telecom systems and procedures.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in telecom technologies.
Qualifications
  • MS or BS ntin Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivale work experience, relevant network certifications (SIP School, CCNA, CCNP) or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years experience managing a telecom operations team.
  • Experience managing and deploying corporate PBX environments.
  • Experience with Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Emergency Responder, Jabber, and IP Phones
  • Experience with Cisco Webex Meetings, Microsoft Teams Room, Meetings and Collaboration Room HW
  • Experience troubleshooting complex SIP/RTP call flows for root cause analysis
  • Professional level knowledge of voice/collaboration protocols – SIP, RTP, RTCP, SRTP
  • Knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switches
  • Experience with packet sniffing and Protocol Analysis Software.
  • Professional level knowledge of network security best practices.
  • Professional knowledge of network design to support high availability services.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Superior documentation skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $100,246.00-$164,689.00/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
