JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Workforce Education and Development program is seeking a creative and motivated graphic designer to support our Professional Development Network team to engage our students, alumni, and the professionals in general.
Job Duties:The role involves designing a range of visual materials for both online and offline conference-related communications. Responsibilities include:
• Designing visuals for the conference website and marketing materials. • Creating posters and infographics, including details like meeting locations. • Developing logos and web images. • Designing webinar information and social media graphics. • Supporting the branding and visual identity of the conference. • (Preferred) Assisting with video design for promotional purposes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Current Penn State student. • Demonstrated graphic design skills (portfolio required). • Previous design experience is necessary. • Familiarity with design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.). • Attention to detail and creativity. • Ability to work collaboratively with the conference team.
Recommended Knowledge/Skills:
• Experience with web design and video editing is a plus. • Strong communication and time-management skills. • Familiarity with conference or event branding is a bonus.
Additional Application Requirements:
• A resume and examples of previous work are required with the application.
This part-time role is ideal for students and will run from now through April. Hours will range from 6 to 15 hours per week, with flexibility around class schedules. The majority of work will be remote, with flexible scheduling. Work is compensated at $13 per hour.
