Turn on your Island Charm… Latitude Margaritaville WaterSound is looking for a Lifestyle Supervisor to join our team!

Purpose:

The Latitude Lifestyle Supervisorprovides support to the Lifestyle Manager. Lifestyle Supervisor will assist in the production of events from conception through to completion and consist of direction and coordination of events and activities, ensuring deadlines and timelines are met and managed in compliance with FirstService standards, and budgets are adhered to. Events can include but are not limited to social events, festivals, conferences, fundraising, exhibitions and fairs, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, charity events, sales and business meetings.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Assist Lifestyle Manager in organization of all resident activities, on and off premises, including dances, theme parties, holiday celebrations, movies, card games, exercise programs, etc.
Conduct an assessment to determine those activities in which the residents would be most interested in pursuing and/or participating.
Supervise the development of new and existing clubs that reflect the interests of the Community.
Document resident participation in group and/or individual social/recreational programs.
Assist in management of all areas of special events, games and entertainment encouraging participation.
Supervise food and beverage component of lifestyle programming.
Oversee BEO’s and SOP’s for Lifestyle events.
Coordinate with Lifestyle Manager, all club meetings, use of rooms and reservations.
Assist in the creation and communication of calendar of activities for the community.
Coordinate communication on electronic message boards
Supervise ticket sales for shows.
Serve as Host, Mistress/Master of Ceremonies for shows and events.
Order needed supplies (e.g., art & craft, party supplies, etc.)
Supervise/coordinate utilization of all athletic facilities.
Arrange for athletic events (game management).
Assist in the creation and maintenance of activity budget to ensure that costs are maintained within budgetary guidelines.
Take pictures of Community events, parties and other special occasions.
Solicit and secure sponsorships and support funding from local businesses and organizations.
Manage amenity rentals.
Assist other departments as directed by General Manager.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Establish and supervise necessary committees as required.

Technical competencies:

Education/Training:

Associates degree in Business or related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 1 year or related work experience as an Activities Coordinator or Event Planning required.

Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:

Must have strong entertainment planning background.
Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, mass email, data base management, etc.).
Able to work with vendors and crews on organizing events in a timely manner.
Strong administrative background.
Excellent working knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
Outstanding interpersonal, office management and communication skills, as well as a self-starter and multi-tasker.
Critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgment and decision making.
Exercise all duties and tasks in a cheerful and friendly manner as well as be a team player, together with office staff and residents to achieve all events successfully.
Ability to work independently and be self-driven, with ability to identify, plan and prioritize business opportunities.

Special Requirements:

Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Standing, sitting, walking and occasional climbing.
Ability to work extended/flexible hours, weekend, and attend events as required.

Compensation/Work Schedule:

$50,000 – $55,000 / annually
Full-Time (40 hours)
Evening & weekend availability required
