Job Title: Maintenance Buyer

Job Description

The Maintenance Buyer will be responsible for the daily operations of the stockroom which include: Order and receive MRO parts in a computerized management system (Currently SAP), placement of inventory in a controlled area and individual locations, discussing storeroom status and projects in weekly staff meetings, maintaining and monitoring min/max levels of MRO and plant operations supply materials, issuing materials to union and non-union plant personnel with record keeping in SAP, proactively seeking opportunities to improve their job and area with an emphasis on safety, developing, implementing, and displaying storeroom key performance indicators, working with affected associates to create best practices related to the stock room, managing the cycle count process for determination of material accuracies, developing daily standard work practices, supporting non-standard purchases from inception to completion with notification of status to affected employees, working with supply vendors to ensure the best pricing and relationship expectations are met, assisting associates with part look-up and identification, working proactively and collaboratively with peers instilling a “We over me” attitude, having regular meetings with the maintenance manager and finance department to understand and maintain storeroom spend, modeling behavior that invites collaboration with peers and drives a “what if” attitude for imagining new possibilities for the team, and performing any other responsibilities/tasks that may be determined necessary by the company.

This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Boston, Kentucky.

Work Environment

This position will be onsite in the Boston, KY location. The working hours are M-F 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4pm with opportunities for overtime. The role involves working in the parts room and assisting with unloading trucks when necessary.
