Payment architecture review in November – Learn the system quickly, understand opportunities from a payment perspective, what they should do moving forward in 2025 and beyond. Payment technical pieces
Looking for someone to come in and help support the effort and someone who has worked with systems in the past and provide recommendation on what opportunities may be out there, pros/cons, looking for gaps, how to remediate it. Have a great team on engineers already but need someone more solution focused. How to future-proof it in a better way.
Tech stack – Most of the payments servers are Linux in AWS today. Looking to migrate to GCP – Experience with Cloud to cloud migration is great but not a hard requirement. Have a few Windows but our team manages all of them. Look at security vulnerabilities, etc. Infrastructure based background would be a plus but we do have software apps that exist within the servers so not a bad thing to have that as a background .
Have 6,000 restaurants in the US – All have payment boxes running CentOS – Reviewing on how to transition to Rocky Linux. Use Puppet to handle all of the configurations – Want to review this to upgrade to the future
Starting at 6 months, should go longer. Could turn into a FTE position as well
80-90% design/thought leadership, 10-20% hands on
Description:
– Familiar with Linux based environments
– Payments experience a HUGE plus
o Even better if has experience with Payment systems architecture, implementing new systems/replacing legacy systems
– Does not have to be local
– Solution Design and Execution
o Experience with reviewing infrastructure/architecture within IT systems and developing remediation plans
– Collaborating with internal and external partners on design improvement for new technology and enhancement
– Tech lead experience / leading engineers and providing a technical team strategic or roadmap direction
