Role Summary:
Flowserve is looking for an experienced and skilled Planning Supervisor for creating and executing a best-in-class material planning and scheduling process. The successful candidate must be an effective change agent able to conceptualize and deploy best practices for materials planning and scheduling in a new manufacturing center of excellence. Effective execution in this role will help to establish a prototype and template across the enterprise for an automated manufacturing cell that is integrated with digital upstream processes. This individual will utilize Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and SAP S/4HANA to drive sales and operations planning, capacity optimization, shop scheduling and execution. This includes management of the master production schedule to minimize cost and maximize plant performance.
This position will report to plant management for local responsibilities with matrix reporting into the corporate materials management function to support all materials management planning initiatives and process standards.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all local materials planning processes (SIOP, MPS, MRP, Production Control, and Inventory management).
Supervise a team of logistics associates who are responsible for receipt, inventory and shipment of production materials and finished components.
Develop effective materials strategy to support OTD (On Time Delivery) and lead time targets with optimized inventory investment.
Ensure production schedules maximize utilization of manufacturing assets maintaining schedule adherence, OTD, past due backlog, and inventory targets.
Prepare and distribute weekly production schedules / work order dispatch lists.
Using the MRP system, translate the consolidated sales forecasts into a master production schedule / build schedule.
Execute Just in Time principles in the supply of all material required for the complete manufacturing of the facility projects.
Additional Responsibilities may include:
Liaison between site shipping department and Global Logistics Department.
Manage the escalation process to resolve logistics issues within site.
Follow up on orders placed to ensure OTD of both direct and indirect material suppliers.
Review stock levels to ensure optimal inventory is held on site.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related area.
7 years working experience in manufacturing environment with focus in planning, supply chain, or similar areas.
Solid leadership experience with a commitment to staff development through mentoring and coaching
Fluency and proficiency in the practical application of MRP logic, scheduling logic, order policies, capacity planning, input/output control, product structures, routings, and standards maintenance.
Knowledgeable in master scheduling, production planning and detailed scheduling, demand management, purchasing, and cost accounting techniques.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Professional certification in Inventory Management (CPIM) and/or Supply Chain Management (CSCP)
Hands-on experience with SAP’s APO or IBP tools
Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically SAP
Lean certification (green belt, black belt)
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and organizational skills with the ability to work well with all levels of employees and internal departments in a diverse environment.
