Job Title: Team Lead – Manufacturing
Location: Zeeland, Michigan
Compensation: Salary Range Negotiable with Experience
Job Summary: The Team Lead is responsible for leading and managing an assigned department to achieve operational objectives in areas such as safety, product quality, reliability, cost, continuous improvement, and employee morale. This role aligns with and promotes the achievement of Operations’ and the corporation’s business strategy. The Team Lead achieves results through successful leadership and team development, as well as effective planning, organization, implementation, and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
Monitor and manage departmental KPIs to meet or exceed targets.
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
Promote a safety-first culture within the department.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain high standards of product quality and reliability.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues.
Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality problems.
Cost Management:
Manage departmental budget and control costs effectively.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
Report on financial performance and variances.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, within a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean principles.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to manufacturing environment conditions, including noise and temperature variations.

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
