Schedule: Mon – Fri 1st shift
Description:
Our Cross Flow Filtration team within the Life Sciences group is searching for an Analytical Lab Technician to develop and validate test methods. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of scientists/engineers to define, develop, and validate test methods, develop analytical methods, perform testing, process, and interpret data, and present results to expedite product and technology development. The candidate should have strong research skills to navigate through challenging problems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to identify new test methods to be used to characterize new filtration products, including protein assays, and small molecule quantification.
• Execute analytical testing, analyze, and interpret data.
• Author reports, presentations, and standard operating procedures for newly developed test methods.
• Train team members on how to perform new test methods.
• Develop and validate novel analytical methods using a wide range of analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, UV-Vis, fluorimetry.
• Communicate analytical results with team members to guide the future direction of the project.
• Performs other assignments (standardized testing, EHS initiatives etc.) as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or other related fields.
• Experience in chromatography and spectroscopy techniques (HPLC, SEC, LCMS, GCMS, FTIR, UV-Vis, Fluorimetry, etc.).
• 2 years direct work experience with chromatography (e.g., HPLC, SEC, LCMS, GCMS)
• 2 years direct work experience with protein or other biomolecule analysis (e.g. ELISA, PCR, etc.) experience
• Knowledge of current bioanalytical industry guidelines and lab compliance requirements.
