Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for assigning assembly orders according to company quality standards. Required to provide materials and components to assembly lines.

Duties and Responsibilities

The following reflects essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. It is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as the company may deem necessary. This role has direct oversight of Manifold, Kitting, Stock, and Setter Process. Employees in this area will report directly into this position.

Able to use Fourth Shift and Q-Pulse

Prioritize production scheduling and Update customers on production status

Coordinate flow of material between plants

Work with team members to complete tasks in the assembly process. This would include some prep of materials and components.

Fill assembly orders from start to finish according to company quality standards

Read blueprints, instruction sheets, PCP’s and other vital production documents

Log information on daily or weekly log sheets as required by department

Set up gauges, scanners, and other equipment as required for assembly purposes and prepare parts for next step in production

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Able to provide material and components from start to finish of assembly process

Able to solve minor picking and prepping issues

Maintain area of work to 7s standards

Report to supervisor any violation to processes and/or property

Fill out R.I.P for throughput improvement

Able to identify constraints

Able to pull and prep at P1

Able to identify MAL Standards

Able to understand daily throughput (VOC/VOP)

Log in combo and valve line failures

Solve RMA’s (From: Containment To: Corrective)

Inventory control and coordinate flow of material between plants

Prevent and identify safety hazards

Personnel conflict issue solver

Lead internal and external audits and solve nonconforming findings from Audits

Identify high risk failures and prevent them from happening

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

Ability to stand for duration of shift

Lift and move 15 -50 pounds without assistance

Working with parts of various sizes and weight

Repetitive hand/arm motion

Work Environment

Work time is spent in a warehouse environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high

Exposure to oil and water

PPE required as determined by company safety standards: safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety steel toe shoes

Qualifications

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous manufacturing experience a plus

Previous assembly experience a plus

Ability to function as part of a team

Must be comfortable working with manual tools and power tools

Basic reading and writing skills in English

Basic math skills or ability to use a calculator

Knowledge of simple machines or tools

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, use of scanner, microscope, and various manually operated gauges by hand.

Must be able to meet quality and productivity standards
