Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Packaging Laborers needed for both sites with the same job duties and roles:

– Putting caps and lids on bottles
– Bottling products into boxes and cases
– Placing bottles, caps, lids into boxes
– Sorting and separating finished products
– Packing jugs and bottles into boxes
– Lifting and staging boxes
– Palletizing and wrapping boxes and containers
– Placing boxes and products into sealer machinery
– Performing quality inspections by counting, sorting, and size
– Placing tags and labels on products and boxes
– Pulling cases off the line, stacking on pallets
– Wrapping and staging cases and boxes
– Working on multiple lines to package products
– Assisting operators with batch mixing and janitorial work
– Making batches, weighing out product liquid, and preparing for batches
– Documenting all orders
– Working with drums and totes
– Lifting up to 55lbs
– Steel-toed shoes are required

Shifts Available:

– 1st shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM ($16.25/hr)
– 2nd shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM ($17.35/hr)
– 3rd shift: Sunday-Thursday 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM ($18.45/hr)

Currently working Saturday overtime, full shift.

Candidates will also be responsible for housekeeping duties, which may include sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and salting the parking lot when it snows. Flexibility is essential as you may switch between packaging and formulation tasks.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Alsip, Illinois.

Work Environment

Alsip Facility: Modern and very clean facility, temperature controlled, divided between the production floor and warehouse. Safety is a massive focus. Smaller workforce with about 10-15 people on 1st shift and about half that on 2nd. Remodeled in the last 10 years.

Chicago Heights Facility: Not as new or organized as Alsip but also temperature controlled. Larger workforce with a few hundred employees across the shifts. More lines and production, which can be chaotic at times. Security checkpoints at the front and multiple break rooms. Operations are relatively the same at both sites, manufacturing, bottling, staging, and shipping products. Chemicals at both sites are not harmful. Excellent employee benefits provided.
