Payroll and Payables Accountant – INTRUST Bank Arena

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Payroll and Payables Accountant for INTRUST Bank Arena and Orpheum Theatre.
Summary:
Process multiple payrolls, bi-weekly through ADP Enterprise EV5. Assist in the daily accounting operations with a primary focus on Accounts Payable.
Responsibilities:
Process facility bi-weekly payroll, including the IATSE union stagehands.
Import IATSE Union stagehand hours from their event timesheets, ensure accuracy of hours, and wage rates.
Process all wage garnishments, deductions, and payments for applicable employees, in a timely manner.
Calculate and process vacation, sick, and other time-off benefits each payroll.
Prepare payroll adjustments.
Prepare manual checks, maintain check log and post to ADP Enterprise EV5.
Prepare and update monthly payroll journal entries.
Prepare monthly payroll and vacation accruals.
Prepare accounts payable checks and match with corresponding invoice and purchase request forms.
Accurately input payable invoices into Microsoft D365 daily; coordinate with department heads to ensure proper approvals and general ledger accounting coding.
Prepare weekly vendor check run and ensure vendors are paid timely.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements for all locations.
Perform bank reconciliation.
Monthly reconciliation of payable and payroll balance sheet accounts.
Assists with the live event settlement process.
Regular attendance is an essential job function.
Position requires the ability to work at all ASM Global facilities in Wichita, KS and Andover, KS which currently include INTRUST Bank Arena, Orpheum Theatre, Century II, and Capital Federal Amphitheatre.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
Ability to pass a background and credit check.
ADP Enterprise EV5 experience is required.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Thorough knowledge of payroll processing, ADP Enterprise EV5 payroll processing and ABI timekeeping software.
Must be able to demonstrate generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Knowledge in Microsoft D365 accounting software preferred.
Understanding of payroll taxes, laws, regulations, and overtime calculations.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Ability to meet specific deadlines and successfully work under pressure with close attention to detail and in an organized manner.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1-2 years of accounting education or equivalent experience.
Minimum 1-2 years of payroll processing experience.
Physical Demands:
Walking, lifting up to 20 lbs., standing, keying, number input, talking on phone, talking on radio, finger dexterity.
Must be able to read, write, type, use telephone, fax machine and copy machine.
