ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Staff Accountant at Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center.
Summary:
The Staff Accountant plays an important role in the daily functions of the Finance Department. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to general accounting functions, AP and AR, food & beverage accounting, journal entries, payroll back-up, filing, and administrative tasks as assigned. The accountant will work closely with the Senior Accounting Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs day-to-day accounting activities so that general ledger activity, trial balance, and key account reconciliations are adequately prepared and monitored.
Process daily cash deposits and reconcile cash transactions to the bank vs ledger, input journal entries.
Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to prepare A/P process.
Maintain fixed asset detail records, perform account analysis.
Responsible for the entire A/P processes and procedures.
Prepare Quarterly Financial Package of Account Reconciliations.
Prepares settlement journal entries and reconcile ticket receipts per the general ledger vs ticketing audits.
Purchase orders if necessary.
Set-up, update and maintain Hub for all invoices at Century II.
Track expenses and revenues for each event and then provide each department with a budget vs actual variance after each event.
Maintain fixed asset detail records, perform account analysis.
Work with department heads and finance team to manage budges throughout the fiscal year.
Executive event settlements on event days as needed.
Regular attendance is an essential job function.
Position requires the ability to work at all ASM Global venues in Wichita and Andover.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience :
B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
Minimum 2-years of experience in accounting or finance position.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience of the above.
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Experience in payroll data entry.
D365 and ADP knowledge a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of financial and cost accounting.
Excellent math skills and attention to details.
Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management and clients.
Detail oriented.
Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software and be willing to learn and use accounting and financial reporting software.

Specific physical demands for this job include close vision for review of accounting information on a PC monitor, as well as hard copy output.
