Communications Specialist

TEKsystems

Description:

Looking for a traditional comm specialist with business writing experience. Experience working on technology related projects – not technical writing – but will be more process related. i.e. explaining how you do something in SharePoint etc. Any technology exposure or experience will be great.

There will be an element of design with this; the client uses Canva – having an eye for design would be great – don’t need to be a super designer, not looking for a graphic designer – there won’t be a ton of design, but some.

Looking for someone technically inclined i.e. the client uses Azure DevOps to manage their work, need someone that can learn those technical tools if needed.

We have an early career person that has a spring in her step; she’s progressive and technically savvy. She has an energy, instead of being set in her ways. Looking for someone similar but with at least a few solid years experience as a communication specialist.

Ideally looking for someone who has worked for a larger company – folks from smaller mom and pop shops may be challenged with the scope and scale of our company.

It’s going to be a fast paced position due to KDP and ERP projects going on, but will always will be flexible with work/life balance.

12 month contract to start – going live with ERP in 2 years. Will look at workload after 12 months but realistically this effort could need additional assistance.

ERP is a mountain in front of us, and KDP is wrapping up – this person won’t be able to sit back and relax! So that’s why she’s open on level of experience, as long as this person has energy.

3-4 year people will just depend on what experience they do have – ideally someone a bit more developed but you just never know.

Don’t need someone that has been doing this for 30 years – won’t be managing anyone. Very much a hands on position.

Ideally having a degree in journalism or something similar – not required.

Change management – if they have some exposure to this, that would be great – not 100% required. Same with training coordination experience, if they have it, great. Not required.
