Job Details:
This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the
refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and
adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Position involves maintenance and lubrication of ALL Refrigeration
equipment, housekeeping of Compressor Room, Boiler Room, and Water
Heater Room. Draining refrigeration oil, change/clean strainers and
filters, operate, maintain, and monitor all equipment used by
refrigeration department. Actively participate and help maintain Process
Safety Management (PSM) program and paperwork; and participate in
HAZ-MAT. Wear respirator, chemical suit, work in confined spaces, and
work at heights and in extreme heat and cold. Will work around various
chemicals including Ammonia.
Work weekends, overtime, and holidays as required. Pass or have passed
safety test within 30 days. Pass HAZMAT physical and be confined space
certified. Must be able to wear respirator and SCBA. This position
requires climbing stairs, ladders, working on roof, and in confined
spaces. Follow instruction and be alert to working conditions, must be
able to alert management to system upsets or problems. Troubleshoot
problems with the system and work with electricity.
Requirements:
– Must complete an on-line job application in Workday
– Must be a full-time team member and have completed the 90-day
probationary period. If there no qualified candidates, probationary
team members will be considered.
– Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
– Must not have a written warning/written warning with suspension in
the last 6 months.
– Must not have a self-demotion or declined a job bid in the last
six (6) months, unless the bid is to a higher class.
– Must have less than 8 attendance points at the time of the bid and
to be awarded the job.
– Any team member who accumulates 8 or more attendance points, who
holds a class 2 or above position, will be demoted to any available
class 1 position in the plant.
DISCRETIONARY JOBS are awarded to the best qualified candidate based
on qualifications to include, work history, attendance, discipline, and
position requirements.
