Work hours: PRN: As needed – Variable Rotating shifts; may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Here’s What You Need
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
Unit Secretary experience in an acute care hospital setting a plus.
Knowledge of general office equipment, PC’s and associated software packages a plus.
General knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
Previous secretary experience in healthcare environment a plus
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually within 90 Days Required
Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
What You Will Do
ORGANIZATIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Performs all tasks to meet the needs of physicians, staff, patient, and other customers.
Demonstrates acceptable organizational skills.
Communicates effectively.
Interactions include consideration for patient population specific needs.
Takes action to reduce/eliminate patient risks.
PARTNERSHIP:
Uses Professional Practice Model philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, physicians, peers, and all other disciplines.
Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in schedule and/or workload assignment necessary to meet changing needs of the individual patient or unit.
Makes new team members feel welcome and offers assistance with orientation of new employees.
Acceptable use of interpersonal relationship skills and communication with patients, families, co-workers, physicians, all disciplines, and other customers.
Organizes workload and effectively collaborates with nursing to prioritize care.
