Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Full Time Days
The Medical Surgical Department is looking for top skilled nurses. Are you ready to be part of a team establishing and growing a Medical Surgical team?
Work Location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231
Work hours: Full Time; Days (7a-7p)
Medical Surgical Department Highlights:
Medical Observation – will improve the quality care for the Medical patient. Patients are admitted to a 23 bed Medical Surgical/Observation unit. The Registered Nurse will care for patients that have undergone general surgery
Here’s What You Need:
Nursing Diploma required or
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program required or
BSN preferred
One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program required
RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req
What You Will Do:
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
