As an Assistant Project Director/Sr. Project Manager, the individual with overall accountability for the project and or projects. Theyre primarily concerned with ensuring that the project delivers the agreed business benefits. This person acts as the representative of the organization, and plays a vital leadership role through:

• Providing championship for the project, selling and marketing the project throughout the organization

• Providing business expertise and guidance to the Project Managers

• Acting as the link between the project, the business community and perhaps most importantly, management decision making groups

Headquartered in The Woodlands, TX, TIC Southern builds major industrial projects in diversified markets throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Location

This position will be based out of our OGC hub in Houston, TX with significant on-site/project responsibilities. Responsibilities

• Manage and direct project teams by providing communication, coordination and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives; ensure project scope or work, schedule and budget are clearly defined and understood.

• Establish project procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans for all engineering work; determine and oversee all project controls, schedules and budgets.

• Serve as project representative with client, constructor, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, job walks, project review, and other meetings and correspondence.

• Coordinate training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.

• Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule.

• Maintain ongoing communication with client, making adjustments as necessary to comply with client needs within contractual obligations, or adjust project deliverables to meet client and Kiewit needs.

• Ensure all work products are consistent with industry standards and in accordance with good engineering practice and applicable codes, and in compliance with all pertinent legal codes and requirements.

• Provide ongoing training and mentoring to entry and midlevel engineers to promote employee development.

• Utilize extensive knowledge of basic engineering fundamentals and practices to track and budget progress with Leads all aspects of Kiewit’s safety culture and a commitment to Nobody Gets Hurt.

• Assists and supports Executive leadership with strategy development and business initiatives within the organization.

• Provides oversight and senior management for multiple construction teams through the preconstruction and construction process.

• Provide Strategic plans for new business opportunities and fosters new client relationships.

• Serves as the primary client relationship manager, who builds long-term relationships with new and existing clients to generate new business opportunities.

• Oversight and Collaboration during the Preconstruction, Estimating, and proposal development process for new and existing business opportunities.

• Leads Contract negotiations, solutions and development

• Involvement in the community and industry as an influential leader through participation in organizations and memberships.

• Senior Management responsibility for the project performance: financial, schedule, client relations.

• Ensures that staffing resources are sufficient on projects and assists in employee development, recruiting, retention.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel and relocate as needed

• 15 years’ experience in the commercial construction market

• Bachelors degree in Engineering; Construction Management; Business, OR similar type experience in a related position that provides knowledge and experience required for this position

• Prior experience serving as Project Manager, Design Manager, Director of Estimating, or Project Director of construction teams, where responsibilities include construction, engineering, estimating, contracts management, and client relations

• Knowledge of commercial construction standards including scheduling, contracts, coordinating and managing all disciplines and subcontractors

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
