Job Title: Concrete Finisher (Buda)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher with a minimum of 2 years of experience in concrete finishing. The candidate will not be doing much pouring but will be responsible for finishing and grading the concrete once poured. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $20-25/hr. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Hard Skills

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a concrete laborer or mason

Proficiency with hand-held and power tools, including power vibrators, polishers, cutting saws, and edging tools

Set forms that hold concrete in place to ensure the required depth and pitch

Pour, level, and smooth concrete using hand tools and power tools such as rakes, trowels, floats, and screeds

Monitor the effects of weather on the curing process and take necessary actions to ensure optimal results

Apply sealing and hardening compounds to cure the surface of concrete

Use power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure a smooth finish

Create decorative surfaces by adding texture or color to the concrete before it dries

Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete

Supervise and train workers on the use of special tools and techniques for spreading concrete

Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety protocols and OSHA standards

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Buda, Texas.

Work Environment

Ability to stand for long periods, kneel, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions.
