The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring an Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor (VC) for Academic & Student Affairs. Duties Include:

In this position you will provide a high level of confidential and executive administrative support for the VC while ensuring efficient and effective operations for the Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) division. This role offers the opportunity to work with people at all levels of the System Office and the CCCS colleges, along with the general public and significant community partners. The position also supervises three administrative assistants.

Manage various administrative responsibilities needed to achieve the goals of the Academic and Student Affairs division. This work includes high-level problem solving, directing office staff in their support functions, facilitating confidential communication, and completion of joint projects with other divisions or campuses.

Manage and oversee the VC’s calendar. Schedule and manage changes or cancellations with all appointments, meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, special events, and other commitments, while maintaining an efficient flow of information between all levels of the VC’s internal and external constituents.

Oversee the daily workflow of the Admin Support Team, which provides administrative operations and program coordination support on a variety of projects, events, and task management requests across the ASA Division and provides direct administrative support to the Associate Vice Chancellors.

Design, develop, and execute division initiatives and large-scale events including trainings, conferences, council meetings, and recognition ceremonies.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Two years of professional experience providing executive or high-level administrative services.

Supplemental Information

Attributes that will contribute to success in this position:

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite products sufficient to schedule, compose, create, modify and save calendars, memos, letters, documents, reports, charts, sites, presentations etc.

Able to manage projects independently.

Proficient in developing, interpreting, and monitoring complex budgets.

Demonstrated ability as a self-starter with a positive attitude in order to successfully navigate change, ambiguity, and setbacks.

A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

Work Location/Travel Expectations:

The office location for this position is 9101 E. Lowry Blvd. Denver, CO 80230.

Occasional in-state travel, as well as annual out-of-state conference attendance, may be required.

Alternative work arrangements, including flexible schedules and remote work may be available. All work must be completed in the state of Colorado.
