Job Overview:
Under supervision of Construction Manager, general foreman will supervise craft employees while utilizing heavy equipment in the demolition of concrete structures containing low-level radioactive contamination

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Coordinate and work with manager and workers for timely production of all assigned tasks.
Effectively manage and oversee the day-to-day operational activities.
Operate excavator (including shears and grapple), skid steer, loader and telescoping forklifts, as needed.
Assist in environmental RAD monitoring
Ability to work in a team environment in a safe and productive manner.
Perform other general labor work in support of project activities, as needed.
Perform daily inspections and maintenance on equipment and clearly complete work logs.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience and 10 years operating heavy equipment.
Previous supervisory experience on DOE remediation projects.
Previous experience working on RAD-contaminated remediation projects
Must live locally (daily commute) to Los Alamos, NM
Must be able to pass government security clearance
Requires physical strength, stamina, flexibility, and dexterity
Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
Preferred applicant will have current OSHA HAZWOPER training.

Work Schedule:
Schedule will be daytime hours
Current schedule: Mon-Fri, 8-10 hrs/day with 30 min meal break; 15 min morning/afternoon breaks
