ABM Industries is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in budget. This role involves managing project documentation, communicating with stakeholders, and assisting with the logistics and administrative aspects of construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Support: Assist the Project Manager in all phases of construction projects from initiation through completion.
Scheduling: Coordinate schedules and resources for construction projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
Document Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation including permits, contracts, and blueprints.
Communication: Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders (clients, contractors, vendors) to ensure clear and timely communication.
Budget Tracking: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and invoicing to ensure financial targets are met.
Procurement: Assist with procurement of materials, supplies, and services, ensuring timely delivery to the project site.
Compliance: Ensure all projects are in compliance with local, state, and federal construction regulations, as well as company policies.
Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular project status reports to internal teams and stakeholders.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and work with the team to develop mitigation strategies.
Site Coordination: Visit job sites to monitor progress and assist with on-site issues as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in construction coordination or project management, preferably in a similar industry.
Experience with commercial, industrial, or large-scale construction projects is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar).
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Soft Skills:
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and clients.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Work Environment:
Occasional travel to job sites may be required.
Office-based with some time spent on construction sites.
May involve exposure to varying weather conditions and construction environments.
