Pharmacy Technician – Lucile Packards Children Hospital
Job Description
These positions are for the Outpatient Pharmacy that sits within the Childrens Hospital. It serves the pediatric demographic within the hospital and supports the local pediatric clinics as well. The Pharmacy Technician will need to be someone reliable with a drive to develop their skills and learn.
Contract to Hire: This is a 3 month contract to hire with Actalent services. Once the contract is completed you will be offered a full time position with Lucile Packard pending good job performance
Job Duties:
Maintain records by recording and filing the prescriptions and orders of Physicians
Sort, stock, and label medications and monitor inventory
Respond to the requests of patients and healthcare providers, answer their questions, and refer various inquiries to the Pharmacist
Comply with rules, regulations, and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces
Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is accurate and complete (they use EPIC)
Schedule: 5×8 schedule. Start times vary from 7:45am – 10:45am. 8 hour shift. Will be required to work 1 or 2 weekend days a month. Primarily scheduled during the week
Requirements:
CPhT Current License
1 year of Pharmacy Tech Experience (Minimum)
BLS (or willing to receive if offered position, must have before starting)
