Entertainment Wardrobe/Costume Technician

Earn $21/hr-$22/hr

Do you have previous experience creating costumes, or would like to grow your sewing skills further? Become part of the team responsible for creating and maintaining the plethora of costumes used in Entertainment at Californias Great America. Work alongside other talented and creative individuals in an engaging, high-energy environment.

As a Wardrobe Technician you will:

Work closely with Entertainment Leadership to ensure the quality of all themed entertainment and stage productions.

Assist in all costume related aspects of attractions and productions including design, construction and maintenance.

Prepare costumes for shows (stage shows, street performers, musicians, characters, etc.) and maintains costume appearance and continuity. Assists show participants with fast dress changes during the show

Clean performer’s costumes after the show, prepare for laundry, and use washer and dryer as directed

Maintain the inventory supply of the costume shop

Qualifications:

Ability to sew accurately to alter, create, repair, and restyle garments

Skilled at both needle and thread sewing and using a sewing machine

Knowledge and familiarity of working with different fabrics

Ability to work and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.

Good judgment and commitment to safety.

Availability to include some weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

We’re looking for candidates who have FULL AVAILABILITY meaning they’re able to work opening and/or closing shifts.

Ideally looking for candidates available to work up to 8 hr. shifts.

People who love helping others and will support the needs of our guests and associates.

Individuals with a passion and excitement about California’s Great America.
