Director of Food & Beverage

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Director of Food and Beverage for SAVOR at Adventist Health Arena and Bob Hope Theatre. The Director will direct and coordinate the entire food and beverage operations at ASM Global managed Adventist Health Arena and Bob Hope Theatre. Daily management of the Food and Beverage Department to include Concessions, Suites and Catering Sales, Financials and Budgets and require reporting by Regional Managers and ASM Global Corporate.

Position Responsibilities:

Markets Food and Beverage Services to clients and establishes Food and Beverage controls

Creates Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events

Develops event work plans including scheduling and ordering, and assigns appropriate duties to subordinates

Reviews food and beverage lists submitted by each department manager to determine that sufficient items are ordered weekly

Oversees Food and Beverage operations during events to ensure client satisfaction

Maintains cost and quality control standards

Inspects food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health laws as well as internal regulations

Analyzes information concerning facility operation such as daily food sales, patron attendance and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of facility operations

Inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.

Reconciles accounts and generates post event reports for finance.

Supports other Savor accounts when appropriate.

Manage F&B budget to maximize revenues and control costs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages subordinate Catering, Concessions and Chef/Kitchen supervisors and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of any of these units. The Manager carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM Globals policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees as well as planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources.

Education And /Or Experience

Bachelors Degree in Food and Beverage Management or related field preferred

Minimum of 5 years experience in a Food and Beverage management level position including financial management skills

Catering management experience is required

Experience in a multi-purpose entertainment facility preferred

Proven track record of exceeding customer service and quality standards required

Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Experience with Appetize preferred

Experience with ADP preferred

Skills And Abilities

Excellent organizational and planning skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong customer service orientation

Ability to work with limited supervision

Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management

Ability to work irregular hours as dictated by the event schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays

Ability to travel as needed

Compensation

Salary will range from $110,000.00-$115,000.00 annual salary depending on experience. This position will also be entitled to Bonus and Health Benefits.
