Job Title: Process Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a Process Operator, who will be responsible for various functions and activities related to the operation of the Production Department, including but not limited to raw material delivery, process operations, packaging, sampling and light maintenance. The role requires upholding company safety policies, ensuring proper communication with the relieving shift, monitoring and recording process variables, and assisting with troubleshooting potential issues. The Process Operator will also have to ensure that plant purification parameters are in spec and that the documentation is in accordance with policies and procedures. In addition, the role requires active participation in training and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Hard Skills
Valid Drivers License and clean driving record
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous chemical handling experience
Ability to use process control computer interfaces
Ability to perform production quality control checks
Awareness of ISO 9001, and standards
Soft Skills
Comfortable working indoor/outdoor
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to assist in identifying maintenance issues and planning and scheduling maintenance activities
Ability to respond to emergency situations
Location and Schedule
This is a full time position in Forest Grove, OR.
The schedule is 12 hours shifts from 12pm – 12am. Schedule is rotating.
Work Environment
The work environment is a chemical processing facility. The building is very clean and well-kept. There are safety regulations in place for working with the chemicals. Despite the presence of numerous chemical systems, safety is a top priority.
