From Project and Process Improvement to Innovation and Business Enabling to Strategic Management, this team tackles existing and innovative programs or processes at Abarca to rethink, reshape and rework how we do what we do.As our Information Technology Project Manager, you will manage approved projects of a complex nature, from conception through completion, including scope, time, and budget, following our Project Management methodology. You will have overall accountability for each assigned project, and you’ll be expected to document status, agreements and “learnings” from all meetings and presentations. As PM you’ll hone many skills, including a talent for lighting small fires under people and getting out of dodge before they begin to feel the burn. This role is ideal for those who like standing near the control panel and can take the heat, who know how to share the credit while accepting responsibility.The fundamentals for the job…In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing multiple medium-sized projects or 1-3 highly complex and large-sized ones.IT project managers plan, organize, and integrate cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.Responsible for the oversight, management and completion of programs and projects related to technology.Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, maintains project documentation, plans and reports, monitors and summarizes progress of programs and related projects.Act as the point of contact and communicate program and projects status adequately to all participants. Understands and follows the Project Management methodology of Abarca.Maintains and gives follow up to project teams, programmers and external consultants. Leads the work of others, including others Project leads and/or Managers, during the life of the program and related projects.Controls and approves consultant hours invested in the project. Approves invoices from vendors regarding services rendered by third parties.Oversights and coordinates activities, resources and equipment’s to accomplish program benefits and projects goals in the most efficient way.Promptly escalates issues which cannot be resolved.Liaise with stakeholders to identify and define program objectives and benefits, projects requirements, scope and identify risks.Supervisory Responsibilities: This Job has no supervisory responsibilities but usually may lead the work of others.What we expect of youThe bold requirements… Bachelors or Master’s Degree in engineering, Technology, Business or Economics (In lieu of a degree, equivalent relevant experience may be considered.)3 years of relevant work experience in consulting, engineering and/or project management.Experience working with cross-functional information technology projects in an agile environment.Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, driving performance, and executing on deliverables while leveraging collaboration tools and techniques, problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.We are proud to offer a flexible hybrid work model which will require certain on-site work days (Puerto Rico Location Only).Nice to haves…Project Management Institute Credential (PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-SP, or PMI-RMP).Experience in health insurance or pharmacy benefit management setting managing projects.Physical requirements…Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.At Abarca we value and celebrate diversity.
