Project Engineer

Job Description

Interpret construction architectural prints for potential technical problems and consult with architects/engineering to resolve design and installation issues

Supervise current projects and coordinate with all team members to keep workflow on track

Support Project Managers in all phases of glazing projects from bid to close-out

Ensure information from client gets to project managers and from office to field (and vice-versa)

Generate RFIs, change orders, and submittals

Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary

Manage job dashboards

Represent our company in a professional and positive manner with all external vendors, suppliers, architects, Project Managers, owners, and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

Degree/certification in drafting, design, architecture, project management, engineering, or similar field or 2 years of relevant experience

Experience with wood, and metal framing

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to work with within spreadsheets and databases, knowledge of Microsoft and Google

Excellent time management skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks

Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus

Excellent client-facing and internal verbal and written communication skills
