The anticipated salary range for this role is between $97,000.00 and $154,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Exercise Planner to join our team. As a Cyber Exercise Planner, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our organizations cybersecurity posture by developing and executing comprehensive cyber exercises. These exercises will simulate real-world cyber threats and incidents to test and improve our incident response capabilities.
Role Objectives
Exercise Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and coordinate cyber exercises, ensuring they align with organizational goals and objectives.
Scenario Development: Create realistic cyberattack scenarios, considering current threat landscapes, to challenge the incident response teams capabilities.
Execution: Conduct tabletop, functional, and full-scale cyber exercises to assess the organizations readiness to respond to cyber incidents.
Documentation: Maintain detailed exercise plans, reports, and documentation of findings and recommendations for improvement.
Analysis: Evaluate the performance of participants during exercises and identify areas for improvement in incident response procedures and protocols.
Training and Awareness: Provide training to employees on cybersecurity best practices and lessons learned from exercise outcomes.
Incident Response Improvement: Work with stakeholders to implement recommendations from exercise findings to enhance the organizations incident response capabilities.
Stay Informed: Keep abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to ensure exercises remain relevant and effective.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience in the financial sector or regulatory environment a must.
Proven experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or related roles.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
Previous experience in planning and executing cyber exercises or drills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to adapt to evolving cyber threats and technologies.
Certifications in Security and/or Business Continuity are a plus.
