A member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, St. Francis is consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a national leader for Cardiology & Heart Surgery, as well as for Gastroenterology & GI Surgery Job Details Part time – 7am-3pm Responsibilities: • To collect, decontaminate, inspect, lubricate and assemble equipment and instruments following all aspects of standard precaution and infection control. Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent • High School Diploma or equivalent, required. • Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) certification, required or employed as a central service technician in a healthcare facility for a one-year period from, January 1, 2011 to January 1, 2015 and at least five years of experience in sterile processing. • Knowledge of instrumentation/equipment and sterile supplies, required. • Understanding of the principles of electrical and mechanical safety as it pertains to Central Sterile, required. • Proficient Word, Excel and Outlook skills, required. • Must obtain a CRCST certification within a year of hiring date. Salary Range USD $29.20 – USD $34.33 /Hr. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
