Overall Purpose:
The Systems & Software Analyst is responsible for planning, designing, developing, and launching efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core organizational functions, particularly the Finance/Accounting systems. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
Location: Hybrid (see below), downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning, design, and development of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, plus identify and resolve business systems issues.
Ensure compatibility and interoperability of all impacted computing systems.
Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Assist in the deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
Conduct research on software products to justify recommendations and support purchasing efforts.
Create system design documents and workflows.
Ability to perform simple cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed system enhancements.
Create systems models, specifications, diagrams and charts to document processes.
Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline.
In lieu of a degree, a commensurate combination of education and experience will be considered.
Seven (7) or more years of relevant experience required, including proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software solutions, systems, or products.
Relevant professional certifications are preferred.
Skills and Abilities Utilized in this Role Include:
Working knowledge of payroll including timekeeping solutions.
Working technical knowledge of SQL and Cognos programming languages.
Proficient using MS Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Experience with solutioning and supporting complex integrations between both hosted and on-premise technology.
Experience with one or many of the following: SAP SuccessFactors, WFS WorkForce, UKG Payroll, Oracle Cloud Financials, Oracle Enterprise Project Management, PowerPlan, Tax Software
Experience with Enterprise Work Management systems (Maximo)
Experience with enterprise IT systems
Experience with Transformation projects (People, Process, Technology)
Experience with Azure DevOps and other Cloud technologies
General understanding of Finance and Accounting practices such as GAAP and utility regulatory accounting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Scope:
Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting. Accountable for managing ones own time and workflow but may be leading projects or project steps. Work is typically complex in nature, requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base but has a solid foundation to act independently the majority of the time. Still draws on experts and managers when needed but less frequently. Acts as a resource to less experienced staff on routine issues.
Decision Impact:
Problems and issues faced are complex. Draws on past experience on a regular basis to solve problems and take new perspectives on existing solutions. Accountable for direct level of reasoning and decision making.
Hybrid Work
Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.In this role customer site visits may require you to visit a site on a non -office day.

Data Governance
Utilize data to make business decisions and cleanse data as appropriate, support data stewardship activities and partner with IT on underlying data needs. Implement Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDMCS) to support metadata updates across the Oracle EPM Cloud applications (EPBCS, and EPCM).
