Outreach Coordinator – Homewood CEC
Assists in implementing a robust resident engagement strategy. Attends neighborhood-based community meetings, distributes flyers, and offers program information sessions. Supervises undergraduate interns and student workers. Provides residents and community stakeholders with tours and orientations. This is an in-person position and requires evening and occasional Saturday availability. The CECs, staffed by the University, are embedded in neighborhoods to work in collaboration with community partners and residents to organize and deploy the involvement of Pitt faculty, staff, students and alumni through various community engagement programs and initiatives.
A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position and a bachelors degree is Preferred.
Knowledge of the social, political, and economic dynamics of Pittsburgh, and specifically those of Homewood desirable.
