If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity for a co-op within the eVinci Microreactor Program. The position requires a regular presence at the new eVinci Technology Center in Etna, PA. This role will support the Component Design Group within the eVinci Microreactor Program. There is the opportunity to return for multiple rotations based on performance and interest.

Your Day-to-Day:
Provide technical support to component leads for assigned work performed in the design and analysis of micro reactor components throughout various parts of the design process.
Perform analytical calculations and evaluations of the eVinci micro reactor components using a variety of engineering tools and methods. Develop documentation related to these calculations and analyses.
Development of design documentation for safety and non-safety related hardware; this includes design specifications, test specifications and compliance matrices.
Ability to work independently using basic knowledge obtained from core college courses.
Skills utilizing Software Packages such as Mathcad, Matlab, ANSYS or equivalent and ability to learn other new packages quickly.
Knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access.
Interfacing with other internal functional groups on similar engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.
Planning and scheduling work to meet assignment requirements.
Ability to quickly learn to evaluate, select and utilize standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for development of engineering design documents including calculations and specifications.

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
Pursuing Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Completion of Sophomore year college by December 2024.
