Shipping Laborer / Back-Up Assistant Shipper

– Location: Latrobe, Pennsylvania
– Schedule: Monday — Friday, 8:30 AM — 4:30 PM with possibility of overtime

Primary Function:

Shipping Laborer: To perform labor functions in the shipping dock area.  Job requires heavy lifting repeatedly.

 Back-up Assistant Shipper:  Assist the Traffic Manager in computer entry and freight carrier selection for orders that are shipping on a daily basis.

Shipping Laborer:

– Ensure proper counts and loading of trucks.
– Haul and record finished production from boxing.
– Retrieve polyurethane orders per shipping schedule.
– Bale scrap from saws, weigh and record.
– Shred as needed for orders.
– Unload and load trucks as needed.
– Assist with any additional duties assigned by the Traffic Manager or Asst. Traffic Supervisor.
– Enforce Rules and Regulations and Safety procedures.

 Back-up Assistant Shipper:

– Generate UPS and Fedex orders in the computer.
– Print bill of ladings and packing slips on the computer.
– Generate daily reports at the end of the shift.
– Call in Less than Truckload orders.
– Assist with any additional duties assigned by the Traffic Manager or Asst. Traffic Supervisor.
– Enforce Rules and Regulations and Safety procedures.
