DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role involves overseeing Water Quality Specialists responsible for performing inspections and investigations related to water quality. The supervisor ensures that any instances of non-compliance with state laws and regulations are identified and addressed appropriately. Additionally, the position entails managing voluntary compliance plans, initiating enforcement actions when necessary, and responding to environmental emergencies as well as citizen complaints. Furthermore, the supervisor plays a crucial role in implementing the Departments initiatives focused on pollution prevention and compliance assistance.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Travel required for site visits.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in New Stanton.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience as a Water Quality Specialist; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which affords the applicant the required knowledges and abilities.

Special Requirement:
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operators license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Other Requirements:
