Licensed Practical Nurse, OP – OB/GYN (Franklin, PA)

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support their Magee Services at Northwest team in Franklin, PA! This is a fast-paced family oriented multi-provider office with 9 providers that see patients in the Clarion and Franklin Offices. this position may require occasional travel to the Clarion office to support staffing needs, as needed.

This position will work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with no evenings, weekends, or holidays! The ideal candidate will have good organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a busy, fast-paced practice.

Sign-On Bonus Detail for eligible candidates:

$7,500 sign-on bonus available for nurses with over one year of experience

$5,000 sign-on bonus available for Graduate Nurses and nurses with less than one year of experience

Responsibilities:

Draw blood.

Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).

Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.

Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.

Assess patients general condition and take vital signs and weight.

Comply with all policies and procedures.

Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.

Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.

Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.

Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.

Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. One year clinical experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

Act 33 with renewal

Act 34 with renewal

Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
