MECM / SCCM Administrator

Description

The Leidos Spatial Solutions team has an opening for an experienced AWS Systems Manager or MECM/SCCM administrator with software packaging experience to provide software maintenance and engineering support under the Foundation Sustainment Servicescontract.

Primary responsibilities include the development of scripts and deployment of software and patches across a set of AWS environments consisting of several hundred Windows 2019 instances.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities may include:

Plan,execute, and monitor software update deployments using AWS Systems Manager to ensure all endpoints are properly patched and compliant with organizational security policies.

Coordinatewith stakeholders to schedule and implement maintenance windows for deploying updates and patches, minimizing impact on end-user productivity.

Customizesoftware update groups and deployment packages within AWS Systems Manager to target specific collections of devices, ensuring appropriate testing and phased rollout strategies.

Troubleshootand resolve issues related to software update deployments, including failed installations, update conflicts, and compliance discrepancies.

Designand implement automated workflows for deploying third-party software updates using AWS Systems Manager, leveraging vendor catalogs or custom update packages.

Collaboratewith application owners and IT teams to package and deploy software applications using AWS Systems Manager, adhering to best practices for application compatibility and user experience.

Monitorsoftware deployment success rates, compliance levels, and deployment status using AWS Systems Manager reports and dashboards, proactively addressing any discrepancies or failures.

Continuously evaluate and optimize AWS Systems Manager software deployment processes and configurations to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Basic Qualifications:

Requiresa Bachelor’s Degree and 8 to 12 years of relevant experience, additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Requires a TS/SCI w/ POLY Security Clear

4years direct AWS Systems Manager or MECM/SCCM experience

Experienceengineering new AWS Systems Manager Distributor packages or creating a new MECM/SCCM infrastructure deployment

Experiencewith Scripting/Automation using PowerShell or other scripting languages

Experiencein softwareinstallation/upgrades

Experiencein Windows troubleshooting within a secure environment

2years direct AWS Systems Manager or MECM/SCCM experience

Musthave a DoD 8570 compliant IAT Level II or higher certification upon hire:

CompTiaSecurity CE

Basicunderstanding and experience with remote administration, virtualized computing, and cloud computing (specifically AWS)

Familiaritywith Configuration Management and Request for Change process for review and assessment.

Workingknowledge of SAFe Agile concepts and an ability to operate within an Agile framework

USCitizenship is required due to the nature of the government contracts we support.

Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required OR active TS and ability to obtain SCI update and successfully pass a CI Poly.

Preferred Qualifications:

DevOpsexperience, particularly with GitLab

Experiencewith Python 3 w/ Boto3, Amazon CLI, or other scripting languages

Experiencewith Ansible to complete similar requirements on RHEL 9

Experiencewith Atlassian Jira and Confluence

AWSknowledge and experience equivalent to AWS SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect Associate

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 – $183,300.00
