Remote Fire Protection Design Engineer

Job Description

My client is a federally focused research and design firm, based primarily in Massachusetts and Maryland. They are currently growing their in-house facilities design team and need a Fire Protection Design Engineer to join their group. Their primary project is supporting a complete facility renovation of a complex lab and industrial environment on a Naval base in Indian Head, Maryland. The right candidate can sit remotely but must be relatively local (DC/MD/VA/NC/DE/NJ) to be able to visit client site 1-3 times/month. Their day to day responsibilities will include designing fire protection systems supporting construction, renovation, and modernization efforts, performing design reviews on those systems, developing test plans for the FPS

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in Engineering

8 years experience in facilities design; with 4 years experience specific to fire protection system (FPS) design Professional Engineer (PE) license

federal FPS design experience null
