We are seeking a Manager of Client Services Projects at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. to lead a dynamic team in Rockville. Youll be responsible for driving our largest and most complex projects, ensuring flawless customer experiences, and encouraging an outstanding team environment. This role offers the opportunity to shape strategies, mentor team members, and implement innovative solutions.

A day in the life

Lead and Mentor- Guide a team of 4-8 direct reports, providing real-time feedback, setting stretch goals, and driving employee accountability.

Customer Advocacy- Serve as a customer advocate, providing detailed communication and recommending solutions to clients.

Project Management- Track and report project landmarks, coordinate tasks, and ensure accurate completion of action items. Assist team in closure of critical items impacting customer projects

Process Improvement- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to increase team efficiency.

Collaboration- Drive consensus internally, resolve issues other managers, and involve other departments as needed.

Communication- Provide updates to internal and external partners regarding timelines, shipping issues, and resolutions.

Sales and Marketing Support- Participate in sales, marketing, and project kickoff activities as needed.

Keys to Success

Education

College degree required.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in supporting, leading, coaching and/or mentoring project management teams.

PMP certification and/or degree in a health-related field preferred.

Proven experience in customer service, cross-functional communication, and working within regulated systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite required

Knowledge of Project, Smartsheets, Jira, and Trackwise advantageous.

Eager to learn, goal-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.

Working Conditions

Environment- Hybrid office/remote setting with low to moderate noise levels.

Physical Demand s- Continuous sitting, occasional walking, and lifting up to 20 lbs. Flexibility to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Occasional travel may be required.
