Job Title: Entry-Level Cable TechnicianLocation: Data CenterJob Summary:
As an Entry-Level Cable Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network cabling infrastructure within a data center environment. This role involves working with various types of cables, including CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optics, to ensure reliable and efficient network connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Cable Installation: Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5/6 and fiber optic cables.
Testing and Troubleshooting: Use appropriate testing equipment to ensure all installed cables meet performance standards.
Infrastructure Setup: Assist with the installation and termination of racks, cable trays, patch panels, cabinets, and workstation outlets.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cable installations and updates.
Compliance: Ensure all work complies with industry standards and data center policies.
Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates to cabling infrastructure.
Support: Assist with racking and stacking of equipment and manage ticketing processes.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in networking or cabling is a plus.
Skills: Basic understanding of network cabling, including copper and fiber optics. Ability to use testing equipment and tools.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require physical effort.
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Attention to Detail: Ensure all installations are neat and organized.
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues efficiently.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other technicians and data center staff.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to document work and interact with team members.
