Job Title: Shipcheck/Engineering Technician

Job Description

Actalent is seeking a Shipcheck/ Engineering Technician to help support a large Navy program. The role will be supporting a leader in the systems integration, marine engineering, design, logistical and maintenance support for the U.S. Government. In this role, day-to-day activities may include:

– Conducting detailed Ship Checks to accurately assess conditions

– Providing development and modification of AutoCAD drawing products

– Performing detailed technical reviews of ship information packages

– Reviewing Ship Change Documents

– Reviewing Ship Installation Drawings

Hard Skills

Active clearance: Confidential or Secret

AutoCAD

Ship Change Documents

Ship Installation Drawings

Knowledge of schematics/blueprints

Job Type

Full time, permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hampton, VA.

Work Environment

Office and on vessels. There is going to be travel required to different waterfront shipyards.
