Job Description
Day-to-Day:
Insight Global is in search of a PICU RN in the Portsmouth, VA area to support a government client on a long term contract. The ideal candidate would be responsible for perform a full range of RN duties in accordance with assignment under the task order including but not limited to triage; patient assessment and monitoring; use of patient monitoring and treatment equipment; appropriate nursing care, procedures, and treatments; execution of physicians orders within the standards of nursing practice; documentation of patient care and observations; and patient education and emotional support. Provide treatment and discharge instructions upon patient release. Provide clinical guidance and instruction to LPNs/LVNs, nursing assistants and ancillary personnel.

Skills and Requirements
Must Haves:
- Associate or Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- 18 months of full-time experience as an RN working in the PICU last 24 months
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood, Pressure, Labs, and Emotional Support (S.T.A.B.L.E.) Certification Pluses:
- Prior experience in cardiology, telemetry, conscious sedation is preferred null
