We are looking for a Global Seeds Sourcing – Field Crops to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Research Triangle Park, NC.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days working remotely from home). Domestic relocation assistance available, if applicable.

As the Global Sourcing Field Crops, you will play a key role in providing strategic delegated procurement support for the North America Seed Supply organization. This position serves as a consultant for Delegated Procurement topics, which includes ensuring operational readiness for Sourcing and Purchase to Pay within the Seeds & Traits business in North America. Your responsibilities will also involve simplifying business processes to enhance efficiency and providing market intelligence to identify the most effective strategies for mitigating supply risk, gaining a competitive advantage, and achieving the business strategy goals.
Operating within the Global team, you will closely collaborate with Global Procurement to ensure compliance with policies and standards, while actively representing business interests in procurement decisions and the negotiation of supply contracts. This role requires close alignment with various internal stakeholders from Seed Supply, Supply Chain, Legal, EHS, Quality, Regulatory, Stewardship, and Procurement. Additionally, you will engage with Suppliers, Multipliers, and Growers.

Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and delivery of input and output from the Operations organization.
Engaging key stakeholders to implement process improvements, reduce non-value activities, and support sourcing needs.
Providing strategic procurement expertise to Seeds business stakeholders in Category Strategy to ensure contracts comply with BASF policies.
Supporting the delivery of financial savings commitments by proposing new project ideas and assisting with project initiatives.
Aligning business stakeholders with all other category areas of Procurement function by quickly finding the most appropriate person.
Providing expertise to resolve high-level invoice issues to prevent severe business impact.
If you…
Have a B.S. in a technical, supply chain, or business concentration.
Possess additional supply chain or project management certifications (a plus).
Have 8 years of experience working in a global sourcing team environment, preferably in the agricultural industry.
Have 3 years of experience working as a business partner with an ERP, such as SAP.
Have 5 years of experience in a strategic procurement environment, including setting Category Strategy and conducting Market analysis.
Can demonstrate problem-solving skills with a focus on creating business value.
Can effectively communicate and build relationships with individuals at multiple levels.
Ability to travel up to 50%, mostly regionally (domestic and international)
